Who is responsible

Diego Facchinetti is the data controller for this website. He operates under the brand Pragma Global Consulting and is established in Italy. For privacy questions or requests, email office@pgconsulting.net.

What this website does

This is a static information page served as HTML and image files. It has no user accounts, contact form, site database, or server-side visitor profiles. The page does not receive a message when you click an email link; your email application opens instead. If you choose to send a message, Diego processes the sender details and message to respond and, where relevant, take steps you requested before a possible engagement. The message is handled in the email service used for the mailbox and is kept as needed to respond and manage the resulting relationship, and longer where required for legal obligations or claims.

Website delivery and security

When your browser requests this page, the hosting service processes technical connection data needed to deliver and protect it. This can include your IP address, the time of the request, the requested page, and technical browser or connection details. The current website is served through Aruba S.p.A. infrastructure. These data are used for availability, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. The site has no server-side database or visitor profiles, but the hosting service may create and retain technical connection logs according to its operational and security schedule and applicable obligations. See Aruba’s privacy information ↗.

Browser storage and analytics choices

On English entry pages, a supported ?lang= URL choice takes precedence for that visit. Otherwise, the site uses a saved manual language choice, if available; without one, it checks your browser’s preferred languages in order. If that list is unavailable, it uses your browser’s primary language. It selects the first supported language among English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Dutch; regional tags such as fr-CH count as French. If a nonempty list has no supported language, or no browser language can be identified, English is used. A page URL for a specific language opens that version unless a supported ?lang= parameter selects another language. A language-menu choice is saved in your browser for up to 180 days if browser storage is available. Merely opening a ?lang= URL does not save a preference, and browser-detected choices are not saved. If storage is unavailable, the supported ?lang= parameter still applies for that visit. The site uses browser language settings only; it does not look up your location or use your IP address to choose a language.

Each language has its own page URL. Selecting a language opens that page. If browser storage is available, the page saves whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics for up to 180 days. This choice is held in your browser, not in a site database. If storage is unavailable, the analytics prompt may reappear after you leave or reload the page. You can clear browser storage or change or withdraw your analytics choice under Privacy settings.

The home and Selected Projects pages also use browser session storage to remember the progress of timed suggestions and their countdown. This prevents suggestions from repeating as you move between pages or languages during the same browser tab session. This information stays in your browser and is not sent to a server.

Google Analytics

This page is configured to use Google Analytics 4. The Analytics tag loads only after you actively accept optional analytics. Google Analytics can collect page and interaction events, browser and device information, approximate location, and a pseudonymous identifier in a first-party cookie. The page does not enable Google advertising signals or ad personalisation. Analytics data will be sent to Google for measurement; Google may process it in other countries under its applicable terms and safeguards. The event-data retention setting for this site’s GA4 property is 2 months; the user-data retention setting is 14 months. Google applies the user-data retention period to key-event data. “Reset user data on new activity” is enabled: each new event restarts the retention period for that user’s identifier, so it may be retained beyond 14 months if activity continues. This reset applies only to user-level data. These settings do not affect standard aggregated reports. Google Analytics retention controls ↗. See Google Analytics data collection ↗ and Google’s Analytics privacy information ↗.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Delivering and securing the page: processing technical request data is necessary to provide the page and protect the service; the relevant basis is the legitimate interest in operating a safe, available website.
  • Remembering your analytics choice: browser storage saves your selected consent setting so the site can apply it on future visits.
  • Responding to email: processing is based on steps taken at your request before a possible engagement, where relevant, or on the legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
  • Google Analytics, if you accept: processing is based on your consent. Rejecting or withdrawing consent does not prevent access to the page.

Recipients and international processing

Technical request data may be processed by the website hosting provider, currently Aruba S.p.A. Email messages are handled by the email provider configured for office@pgconsulting.net. If you accept Analytics, Google receives measurement data. Those providers may process information under their own terms and, where applicable, outside your country. The page does not embed LinkedIn content; opening a LinkedIn link takes you to LinkedIn, which handles data under its own privacy information.

Your choices and rights

You can reject optional analytics or withdraw consent later using Privacy settings. Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object where the law provides that right. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) ↗ or another competent authority. People elsewhere may have additional rights under local law; contact Diego by email to exercise them.
